π Solo Tryouts
Dancers interested in performing a solo routine must schedule a 30-minute private tryout reservation.
During the private audition dancers will:
β’ Perform a short routine of their choice
(This can be a routine they already know or a short piece they choreograph themselves.)
β’ Learn and perform a short combination on the spot
β’ Demonstrate technique, performance quality, and the ability to take corrections
Dancers should arrive performance ready.
β’ Wear all black dance-wear
β’ Hair should be slicked back and secure
β’ Bring appropriate dance shoes for the styles being evaluated
This helps create a clean, professional audition environment and allows us to properly evaluate each dancer.
β οΈ Important:
Dancers auditioning for a solo must also attend the group competition team audition. (May 11 β’ 6pm)
Soloists are expected to be strong team members and fully participate in the competition team program.
π» Competition Team Commitment
Competition team dancers should be prepared for a season that includes:
β’ Weekly rehearsals
β’ Competitions and performances
β’ Strong commitment, teamwork, and consistent attendance
Because competition routines rely on teamwork and group choreography, dancers are expected to attend scheduled rehearsals, competitions, and performances. Families should carefully consider their dancerβs schedule before auditioning.
Team placement will be based on skill level, attitude, work ethic, and overall team fit.
